There is another way to work on losing weight as well instead of limiting your calorie intake. You can also choose to exercise more and increase the amount of calories you burn each day by 500 calories. You can accomplish this fairly easily as well. You can burn about 160 calories strolling around the park for about a half-hour.
If you go biking for five miles you can burn about 250 calories. If you dance for an hour, not slow dancing, but dancing that makes you gasp for breath, you can burn around 400 calories for every hour. Swimming is a great way to burn calories and swimming for an hour can burn about 510 calories. Tennis is a great calorie burner as well and you can burn about 800 calories if you play tennis for an hour.
Remember when you are exercising that if you weight more you will burn more calories than someone who weighs less. Exercise will help you to build muscle in place of the fat and muscle will continue to burn calories even when you are not being active. The best weight loss plan will combine cutting calories with exercise.
If you can cut only 250 calories a day, but exercise to burn 250 calories each day, you have reached your 500 calorie goal for the day. Always be sure that you eat enough so your body does not think it is starving and lower your metabolism. Your weight loss goal is reachable if you have the patience and dedication.

Can I Eat More and Weigh Less
It depends what you are eating more of. If you are eating more fresh vegetables and less chocolate brownies and nachos, then yes; you certainly can eat more and weigh less.
You may have seen article titles such as “Have More Food and Lose Weight,” or Eat More and Weigh Less” and thought, “Yeah, sure.” I’ve thought that because I never thought I could eat more and lose weight. But that’s because I always thought in terms of calories rather than in terms of volume of food.
A diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables along with whole grains, lean protein (think seafood, poultry, beef, and pork that is not processed), and low fat dairy will allow you eat much larger amounts of food the calories than a diet that’s primarily fast food or processed foods. For example, a super sized fast food meal can easily take up nearly your entire daily allotment of calories. I’m not trying to pick on McDonalds, but my favorite meal there is a Big Mac, large French fries, and a large Coke. That meal is over 1,400 calories. Most people who are dieting and trying to lose weight don’t eat more than 1,500 to 1,800 calories a day so that meal at McDonalds would mean some pretty skimpy eating for the rest of the day if a person wanted to not go over their calorie limit for the day.
On the other hand, a person could have a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and reduced calorie yogurt for breakfast; an apple for a mid-morning snack; a lunch of salad greens with vinaigrette and a non cream based soup; some air-popped popcorn for a mid-afternoon snack; a supper of broiled fish; steamed veggies, and a small baked potato; and still have an evening snack of frozen yogurt without going over 1,500-1,800 calories. And if you are hungry at any time during the day, crunchy raw veggies are filling without being fattening.
I’m not trying to oversimplify things; but the idea of eating more and weighing less is to eat more naturally low calorie foods and to eat much less of the high calorie foods. And I’m putting the emphasis on naturally low calorie foods because processed diet foods that are low in calories aren’t necessarily nutritious or filling. Incorporating lots of fruits and vegetables in your diet is not only helpful for weight loss efforts but also healthy and good for a person’s body.

Salsa is low in calories and a healthy, tasty alternative.
Don’t finish all your food. Many people force themselves to finish what is on their plate because they feel like they are wasting money. If that’s the case, take it home with you and you can have it the next day for lunch.
When ordering sandwiches opt for mustard in place of mayonnaise, your food will still taste good but with fewer calories.
When you are choosing your side dish, opt for steamed vegetables or a potato in place of french fries. If your side choice is not listed, ask the server if you can substitute.
Bread and rolls are low in fat in calories, but the butter and oil increases fat and calories. So eat the bread and skip the butter.
Ask for olive oil instead of butter.
Whenever possible opt for foods that are made with whole grains such as brown rice.

We are inundated by exhortations to lose weight – from the media, from our friends, from our family. As the richest, fattest, nation on earth, we idealize the impossibly thin supermodels who smile (or smirk?) at us from every magazine cover. We spend a fortune on trying to lose weight and despair when we don’t.
Enough of the diet gurus, the nutritionists, and the weight loss experts (including me), let’s enjoy ourselves for a while. The diabetes and clogged arteries will overtake us all too quickly. For today, let’s feast freely at the banquet of life.
1. Ordering in a restaurant is incredible fun.
Your dining companions may be limiting their selections, counting carbs and fats and calories but you are free of all that. You can pick the creamiest, juiciest item on the menu without a single twinge of guilt. Go ahead, have the baked potato with extra butter and sour cream. Chew the divine crispy bread with your creamed soup or artichoke dip appetizer. Go exotic with beef Wellington in its flaky crust shell or dive into that impeccably marbled steak. And while your companions sip coffee, order peach pie – a la mode, no less. Now, weren’t you the one who made the most of the evening?
2. Enjoy the company picnic.
Let your coworkers make fools of themselves running three-legged races and playing very bad touch football. They will have sore muscles and bruises for a week. While they are moaning and groaning on Monday morning, you’ll be comfortable and serene, enjoying your memories of being the first, and the last, in line at the buffet table and how much fun it was to graze uninterrupted on those marvelous desserts.
3. Appreciate your daughter’s school play.
All those skinny, active mothers have been working for weeks to get everything prepared. The benefits of obesity became crystal clear when you were not even asked to paint scenery, hang curtains, set up chairs, or walk the neighborhood to solicit contributions. You can limit your involvement to showing up for the performance, fresh and unstressed, gratefully eying the tasty snacks set out for afterwards.
4. Make the amusement park comfortable.
The wheelchairs provided for the disabled and the obese are a heavenly way to see the entire park. Every other adult becomes exhausted as the day wears on, tired of waiting in lines and walking miles to get to the rides the kids want. You are cool and comfortable as they wheel you around. As the others get grumpier, the kids flock to you and lament that their parents don’t maintain your interest and encouragement of everything they want to do. And on the long drive home, when others are too tired to eat, you still have energy left for a burger and fries. 5. Make your vacation complete.
No one even considered suggesting a camping trip or a week at the beach, did they? No, they knew your idea of a treat was a short road trip with stays at deluxe hotels with soft beds, room service, and a concierge at your beck and call. Let the others take a walk around town while you lie down with a good book or television show. When they return and, over dinner, tell you of the sights they’ve seen, you can listen intently while mentally rating the local cuisine based on your vast gastronomic expertise.
